The celebration of dinner with family goes way back to my grandparents. As a child, my sister and I spent every Sunday at my grandmother's house with all of our cousins. It was a family tradition. Grandma served chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. We didn't even know soup came in a can until we were way older.
Christmas was a huge deal with special dinnerware and special silver that we only used on big deal holidays. My dinnerware and serving pieces are to celebrate family. Each piece is a little different from the next. I try to put together unique pieces that accent and celebrate great family traditions......or just a family dinner on a Wednesday.
